Join us at dadaLab on Friday, December 6th for an evening of inspiring digital art and music from the dadageek community! On display will be generative video art, interactive installations, immersive projections, and performances.
Immersive Lighting Design with Pixel Mapping
October 27th - November 17th, 2024
Sundays, 2pm - 4pm (IRL @ dadaLab in Austin, TX.)
4 class sessions total + opportunity to exhibit your work at dadaLab on December 6, 2024.
DMX lighting? ArtNet? Pixel mapping? Maybe you have heard some of these terms before, but how can you implement these concepts into your artwork? This course dives into the world of creative lighting design using LEDs and lighting fixtures for immersive art or live performances. Students will go from the basics of DMX/ArtNet, Pixel Mapping, and more; all the way to building your own virtual light installation or stage design in 3D PreViz. There will be 4 sessions that meet once a week, followed by an exhibition of student's work scheduled for December 6th.

Explore the world of digital art creation through TouchDesigner, a powerful tool for generating visuals for live music performances, interactive installations, audio-reactive art, graphic design, and more. This course delves into fundamental concepts essential for harnessing TouchDesigner’s node-based networks to create compelling visual content. There will be 4 sessions that meet once a week, followed by an exhibition of student's work scheduled for December 6th.
